As a whole, we are navigating the shift into a digital world. This transition has been occurring gradually, but with technological advancements such as AI, we are accelerating fast. ‘In the Digital, Finding the Physical’ is an exploration of the physical within the digital and vice versa.
About
When did this shift begin, and where does it end? Some artworks appear AI-generated but exist physically, while others, digital, feel tangible. This digital progression in all aspects of our lives blurs the line between reality and the digital world. Join us as we delve into the liminal space between these two worlds, marking a unique period in history where these boundaries blur.
Combining the practices of several artists, this exhibition celebrates the complexities of this physical-digital realm, while also acknowledging the apprehension these shifts evoke. Despite diverse artistic processes, each artist's practice aesthetically aligns. Wolfgang Flad sculpts large, organic-inspired pieces for both freestanding and wall-based installations, Cate Wind's body of work is a direct translation from a physical series to digital representation, Ulrike Buhl’s vibrant reliefs evoke an interplay between pixels and reality. Along with a selection of digital artists exploing the physical realm digitally.
‘In the Digital, Finding the Physical’ delves into the fusion of digital technology with our physical reality, where everything bears the imprint of the digital world.
What does this sound like? What does it look like? Join us at ‘In the Digital, Finding the Physical’ to explore these expanding boundaries.
