Alys Owen and Michella Perera will be opening up the project space on this the final weekend of their residency at the Studio Pavilion. Come and explore their botanical wonderland Imago Hortorum – a work in progress - their collaborative project that builds upon the horticultural setting of the space. Using the residency as an incubation period the artists have been cultivating a variety of plants as a means to explore their role in everyday culture.
Alys and Michella will be offering up cuttings of various plants and are open to swapping any you may have flourishing in your homes or gardens. They will also have a number of items for sale produced over the last three months.
Don't forget to visit our other artists in residence, including Kat Garbutt and Nathan John Cook, as they also welcome you into their studios throughout the day, as well as visit Jimmy Cosgrove’s solo exhibition Looking for signs: ideas and imagined circumstances currently on display in the Studio Pavilion.
