An exhibition of found objects, in situ, physically unaltered. An exhibition of the overlooked, that which is hidden in plain sight. I invite you to look again with fresh eyes
In Plain Sight is the latest in my solo exhibition series using found objects in situ. An exhibition of the overlooked, that which is hidden in plain sight. The intervention is my recognising them as art and inviting the viewer to see them anew.
The first in the series was Not the Degree Show at Bath School of Art and Design. They are my response to the question implicit in the title of the 2019 MOMA exhibition curated by Cara Manes and Peter Fischli ‘If everything is sculpture, why make sculpture?’
I am conscious that this is only one possible response to the question and I invite you to ponder on it yourself. Enjoy.
