A couple of years ago, in the quiet times, I began to realise that I am, always have been, autistic, and suddenly so many things, so much of my past, made sense. 

I decided then to give myself some time and space.  To let go of the things I’d made myself think, the ways I’d pretended to be, the things I’d thought I ought to do and to just, well, be. 

The paintings in this exhibition are from that time and space, from giving myself some room.  Landscapes and seascapes I love, paintings at home, portraits, quiet still life. 

In stepping away from the busyness all sorts of brilliant things have come into my life.  So there will also be paintings from life modelling, from Raw Umber, from my residency at the London Writers Salon and some poetry and prints.
