____ in Flux is an exhibition programme that composes and coalesces time signatures through the hybridity and synergy of matter and the speculative confluence of systems, proposing a radical reimagining of our shared ecological and post-anthropocentric futures. Grounded in the principles of the laws of thermodynamics, it observes that energy is not created nor destroyed but perpetually in flux, undergoing constant change and phase transitions.
The programme grapples with the notion of schismogenesis, radical decay, and phase change, inviting reflections on the generative potential of division, reconsidering material corrosion as the incubating stages of new lifeworlds. Through showcasing artistic practices spanning installation, durational sculpture, painting and new media, it weaves together the multiplicity of perspectives, drawing from the realms of speculative fiction and spacetime-mattering, generating a tapestry of interconnected narratives.
In a synchronic dance of temporal chimeras, a cosmic ripple where the death of a planet feeds into the emergence of new life forms, the exhibition aims to present a panoramic view of life and the ephemeral in-between. It portrays a point of transformation, a catalyst for the new, entwining metaphors of fluidity and the latent possibilities within it into a tapestry of shared understanding and interconnected existence, as a call for us to reimagine collective futures.
