In Bloom: The Nirvana Nevermind Exhibition will display an abundance of band memorabilia and other treasured artifacts, including a hoody worn by Kurt for a Melody Maker photoshoot, a piece of fret board from one of his guitars, rarely seen photographs from the likes of Steve Gullick, Steven Double and Martyn Goodacre, and a replica of the Paramount Stage set up, including a replicas of Kurt's Fender guitar from Fender, and replica Krist's Gibson bass, drums and t-shirts. There are also Nirvana lyrics, tour posters and an array of fan memorabilia and interactive displays, all capturing the teen spirit of the band and their classic album. Released in September 1991, Nevermind elevated Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl from a critically acclaimed Aberdeen, Washington, cult band to generational spokesmen who'd unwittingly created a cultural shift and musical touchstone. Rising to No. 1 the world over by year's end and ultimately selling over 30 million copies worldwide, Nevermind would come to be much more than one of the most successful and influential albums of its or any era. As the album that returned unaffected rock 'n' roll integrity and passion to the top of the charts, Nevermind would prove a singular inspiration to fans and musicians alike over the last two decades, and will undoubtedly do so for generations to come. The exhibition will run for 2 weeks only from Tuesday 13th September to Sunday 25th September and will be held at The Loading Bay Gallery, Unit 4- 5, Dray Walk (opposite Rough Trade) 91 Brick Lane, London, E1 6QL.
