About

“In Between States” is an exchange exhibition project between Scotland, and North Macedonia, at a time of great political uncertainty and upheaval in both countries. Three emerging artists from North Macedonia address contemporary perceptions of “in between-ness” in installation, sound and video.

Ivana Sidžimovska’s work features sound art and video. Born in Skopje, she is now based in Berlin, Germany. Her new work for this exhibition will focus on the processes of political change in the UK and North Macedonia.

Ana Jovanovska studied printmaking and design in Skopje and Cherbourg. She has exhibited widely in the Western Balkan region and in Russia. She is an installation artist who works between Kumanovo and Skopje in North Macedonia.

Ana Lazarevska is based in Skopje, North Macedonia. She works with new media technologies, interactive installation, and performance. At the moment she works with problematics of technology and its influence on the human psyche.
