Workshop with Ed Isaacs RBSA

About

This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of key drawing skills, involving one day of studio-based drawing and one day of urban sketching along local canals and streets.

This workshop is suitable for those with some previous drawing experience.

After a career in social housing and urban regeneration, Ed decided it was time for something different. He has always enjoyed studying the urban landscape and on his travels in the UK and abroad he regularly carried a sketchbook. He decided, therefore, to focus full time on his artwork. He specialises in pen and ink drawings, sometimes with a colour wash, and he aims to capture the ‘genius loci’ and record the (sometimes very small) journeys he makes mainly in the urban West Midlands. He has recently completed recording a journey he made covering canal network in his home town of Wolverhampton and this was followed by an exhibition.  As well as being part of and exhibiting regularly at the RBSA, Ed is also a member of the Wolverhampton Society of Artists.

To book please contact the Gallery on 0121 236 4353. Payment can be made in cash or by card or cheque. Cheques are to be made payable to RBSA.

Places are limited to 10 students per workshop. Allocation will take place on a first come first served basis, subject to receipt of full non-transferable and non-refundable payment.

The RBSA Gallery reserves the right to withdraw the course. In this eventuality, you will be notified and fully refunded.
