'The Grandeur Mass' continues Sagar's exploration on spectatorship, theatrical narrative and material process. The work seeks to unsettle and contradict an agreed comprehension of familiar architectural forms trough the construction of a filmic and performative environment. The piece centres on the conception of imagined space. It uses film taken in several different sites to create a singular fictional journey, surrounding a transient place not rooted in reality but bearing a close relationship to theatrical scenery.
