The best kept secrets of this year's Venice Biennale is Shaun Caton, one of the UK's most extraordinary and original performance artists.
About
Caton will appear on June 2nd at the Palazzo Pesaro Papafava in association with Alive in the Universe, organised by Caroline Wiseman Modern and Contemporary
Caton's work has earned him the nickname, 'the colossus of catharsis' and incorporates large scale experimental colour shadow play with bizarre masks and dried fish heads. Caton has presented over 400 performances worldwide over the past 30 years and is one of the great veterans of live art.
His performance in this year's Venice Biennale is called 'The Grotesque Garden' and is influenced in part, by post renaissance Italian garden monsters and prehistoric art.
