Please join us for a in conversation with artist Larry Bell. Larry Bell is one of the most noteworthy representatives of abstract art in the postwar period, whose career has spanned four decades and has given him an audience in all the major art centers of the world. His medium, light on surface," has often utilised the technology of thin deposition of vaporized metal films. Bell's work has evolved in a number of directions beginning with constructions, glass boxes, and standing wall glass panel sculptures. Other bodies of work include Vapor Drawings, Mirage Works (collages) on paper and canvas, Furniture De Lux, Sumer, a series of calligraphic bronze sculptures cast up to 30 ft in height, and Fractions, a recent investigation (collages) totaling more than 10,000 small works on paper.
