About

Ibrahim Quraishi investigates the effects associated with the revelation of distorted paradoxes. Those paradoxes that are exposed when secrets are pretended to be laid bare while they are never revealed.

Recurrent themes in the artist’s work are the frameworks of action that are given by physical and ideological boundaries. Conceptions of time that follow the conventional sequence of past, present and future are called into question. How can dreams that defy all this and claim an aspiring freedom be put in reality?

Within Stories of Almost Everything it is the aim to codes that usually mean the loss of history, culture, and identity – an exploration of being a person who is not affected by her/his geographical and intellectual environment.

Further Performances on 6th and 7th April 2018from 7pm until 9pm

The Work of Ibrahim Quraishi is supported by the Mondriaan Fonds, The Netherlands.
