held over two locations, these inter-dependent exhibitions dedicate themselves to two connected features of evans' practice. ‘i' [meaning ‘to' or ‘for' in welsh] at gallery/ten picks up on aspects of the domestic realm, with ceramic work, sculpture + prints that reflect on the ‘gut' + ‘digestion', expanding on the imaginative connection of culture with the body - principally the digestive system. ‘o' [meaning ‘from', ‘of' or ‘out of' in welsh] at wales millennium centre looks at landscape, man's relationship to nature + the intersections where nature meets culture, through a series of site-conscious topographical installations this 2-part exhibition is evans' first solo show since causing a stir after winning the gold medal for fine art at the national eisteddfod of wales 2012. a royal college of art post graduate, evans has exhibited throughout the uk + internationally including fraser gallery, oriel mostyn + the national museum of wales, and is developing into one of wales' most promising young artists ‘i' at gallery/ten from 14 june — 13 july ‘o' at wales millennium centre from 7 june — 26 august all work will be for sale + collectorplan is available. for further info about the artist, see the gallery's website www.gallery-ten.co.uk
