Eva Wilkinson is a South London based artist, originally from Yorkshire. She recently graduated from the MA Fine Art programme at Central Saint Martins where she was awarded the Aisha Caan Prize for Fine Art and UAL Museum Collection prize for her degree show work: Cheer Up Love It May Never Happen.
Eva originally practiced as a sculptor after specialising in the medium for BA The Cass at London Met but her recent work has been video based. The videos are composed from screen captures of her virtual travels on Google Street View where she retraces journeys around familiar landscapes from memory.
Through her practice Eva explores the relationship between the borders and boundaries which exist in virtual and online spaces, remembered places and real geographical landscapes.
