Part of Coastival - A Different View. Classical music performance with a quartet on the upper balcony of the Rotunda. Les Canards Chantants is a chamber ensemble specializing in vocal music from the Renaissance. Formed at the University of York in 2010, the singing ducks" are devoted to exploring new and creative ways to bring early music to life. Their debut season included a sell-out performance at the National Centre for Early Music in 2011, and they received a Vice Chancellor's Gold Award for Outstanding Achievement at the University of York in 2012. They have recently performed at Ripon Cathedral, Grimsby Minster and on the Paxton Festival.
