A newly commissioned video installation, for Sophie Rogers’ first solo show, produced during an Artist Residency at Academy Costumes.
About
Sophie Rogers presents a new video installation created during her time as Artist-in-Residence at Academy Costumes, one of the UK's leading costumiers for screen and theatre. In her new work, ‘"HWEEOO"; A Sweet New World’, Sophie takes us on a journey through a sickly sweet, absurd land that is solely populated by herself and her twin. Using costumes taken from a stage version of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', her work reflects on a longing to escape from anxieties in our real world.
