Lynch Mob are a collective of four MA Fine Art students at the University of Bolton, who are pleased to announce that their first group exhibition will be held at the prestigious Castlefield Gallery in Manchester. The show will also feature a range of inter-disciplinary contemporary art from both emerging and established UK artists.

Works include Janette Byrne's reworking of family black and white photographs and  images of dolls taken from Bolton Museum's archives.  Rachel Davenport challenges the Media stereotype of the idyllic childhood, whilst Andy Smith uses the 'boundless' potential of  the artistic process  to explore cultural and political enigmas.  The painted manifesto used whilst standing for parliamentary election will be exclusively shown here before its destruction. Yifang Xu joined the group in Bolton after completing a BA in Fine Art in China, and the cultural disparity he has observed has inspired an exploration of his homeland in a variety of media.
Works by recent V&A exhibitor (Disobedient Objects) 'Craftivist' Carrie Reichardt,  Text Me Up art-activist Tracey Moberly, will also feature alongside the powerful socio-political works of David Gledhill, Peter Lewis and Sue Fox.
