Bar Lane Studios are pleased to be exhibiting the work by Hugo Platt. Hugo was born in York but has spent most of his Career in his studio in Battersea, London developing and printing the personal negative films of celebrated photographers such as Terence Donovan, Clive Arrowsmith and David Bailey as well as celebrities such as Linda McCartney . The craft and excellence is highly admired and accredited particularly in an age where digital photography is taking over the skill of hand printing images, Hugo uses a Wista Large Format Camera Field which produces a negative 10 x 8 inches in size. The camera is about 6.5 feet tall. The negative allows for an enormous amount of detail and clarity which hugo then works on in the darkroom to produce the superb range of landscapes. He has exhibited in London, Cape Town and Los Angeles, the Landscape images on display are form a variety of countries, Iceland, Scotland, Austria and Yugoslavia including the Historical York during the winter floods. All works in the exhibition are for sale.
