As digital media has expanded the discussion of art worldwide, the ability to write about contemporary art with clarity and originality has never been so necessary. Gilda Williams, author of ‘How to Write about Contemporary Art’ offers a guide on writing for a spectrum of forms, from a press release to a review, from a catalogue essay to a museum panel, from website copy to an academic essay. Sessions include:
- Who is listening? Why write?
- Explaining, evaluating
- Discussion and practical session
- Description and its discontents
- Pitching and getting published
10am – 5pm
