The second talk in this year’s Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize series will look at how to organise an exhibition; from the planning, curation and marketing to logistics and working with external organisations and venues. We have two invited experts to share their knowledge at this free talk
About
Curator and collector Tim Sayer joins us as a speaker and as a guest judge for the art prize this year, has collected art for over 50 years, bequest his collection to the Hepworth Wakefield and consequently curated an exhibition - The Collector Curates - including works from both his and their collections in 2017. Our second expert speaker, Ginevra Fiorentini, is the Founder and Director of Presenza an organisation that, through its programme of exhibitions, aims to bring contemporary, emerging artists into public and commercial spaces to engage with wider audiences and make contemporary art as accessible as possible. Between our two experts we'll share tips and discuss the challenges of organising your own exhibition.
Please RSVP via the form on our website (linked to the right). Spaces are limited.
