Espen Krukhaug will talk about his own experience, as an artist and photobook publisher. He will present a short run through different styles and forms of photobooks on the market right now. Participants can bring their work that they wish to create a book with and will be advised from selection of images, editing, layout, choice of format to paper and binding. A simple dummy will be the result of this fun workshop.
Your tutor Espen Krukhaug derived from a small town just outside of Oslo, Norway but lives and works in London. He is a fine art photographer with a BA(hons) Photography from Camberwell College of Art and his work is exhibited internationaly.
In 2011 Espen R. Krukhaug started the independent photobook publishing house Einer-Books, publisher of limited edition photography books, with the intention of publishing his own work. However, today Einer Books publishes books by many other photographers as well. For these books he works in close collaboration with the author/artists themselves. Since 2011 he has been to diverse photobookmarkets worldwide to display his books and is well established in the scene.
Plan your workshop: You will need an idea for a book, images on ideally prints (digital is ok too)
Costs and booking: The workshop fee of 50€ includes tuition, and a welcoming drink. The workshop will be confirmed with a minimum of four and maximum of 10 participants by June 30, 2016.
