About
This panel discussion will address issues related to developing public collections of contemporary textiles, including the pros and cons of commissioning new work that responds to existing collections. It will be chaired by Dr Jennifer Harris, who led on the development of the collection of art textiles at The Whitworth, in discussion with artists Michael Brennand-Wood and Caroline Bartlett, both of whom have work in the show and wide experience of working with major public collections.
