About

About the Exhibition

This exhibition is about ends and beginnings, beginnings and ends and what we choose to do with the time we have. It’s a story about the loss of something irreplaceable, time and experience, memories. It’s about searching for new frontiers to make new time.

Here you will find people who can fly; inventors who create machines like the Moon dog; others who look up with lanterns at stars made from mirrors beneath a turquoise bridge. Kafka is seen at the dead of night, writing at an extraordinarily long table. Later at First Light, he’s watched by his muse, while dreaming of unwritten books, perhaps. The Fugitives wait nervously at the end of a jetty for The Captives , not knowing if they will arrive or not. Otto Beast, carries a wand like stick with him to walk his pet snail, as one does, here.

About the Gallery

This is one of the largest studios and gallery spaces in central London. The building as its name implies, has had many incarnations. Since reopening two years ago, it’s become something of an pop up art college for dancers, artists, architects, musicians and fashion designers. As a result there’s an energy and life here, that’s quite unique.
