About
The Performance will take place in gallery 2, around the installation
Unconsumable Global Luxury Dispersion. Surrounded by the gallery's metadata from previous exhibitions we perform, read and share our ideas about text based art, data and archives with analogue/digital apparatus. Today our lives are organised through databases. Just look at your mobile phone, it's full of them. And through everything we do, we generate enormous amounts of data that is being collected, siphoned off and sold, with and without our knowledge. Have we already reached a point where our data is more important than us as a human being? In the installation
Unconsumable Global Luxury Dispersion I present data as the art object. I am wondering where does the artobject stop? Is there a boundary between object and data? I know, too many questions. In an early version of the performance (at the SO: To Speak Festival) we asked:
How Can You & I Ever Be Free In The 21stC? Any answers?
