About

In artistic production and in the thick of office politics, the photocopier has repeatedly played a significant role in the production of work and in its unceasing inspiration to mark festive celebrations in office-based parties at the end of each working year…  Hotfixes ~~~  interweaves Microsoft’s user interface; Siegelaub’s Xerox Book*; and the pedestrian, office-based Christmas party, which amidst indifferent furniture plays host to cathartic and temporal devolution from corporate politics to anarchy ~ a blurring of cognitive divide.    ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~

*  Xerox Book (1968) was conceived of as an exhibition in print.  Seven artists (Carl Andre, Robert Barry, Douglas Huebler, Joseph Kosuth, Sol LeWitt, Robert Morris and Lawrence Weiner) had 25 pages of works that were bound into an artists’ publication. Downloadable version

* TTIP, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, is a proposed 'free trade' agreement negotiated in almost total secrecy by the EU and US in round table discussion by select corporates with vested financial interests in the agreement of their sales terms between nations.  The US term is TPP, Trans-Pacific Partnership.  Amongst many of the alarming agreements within this (not so good for most) 'deal' is ISDS (Investor-State Dispute Settlement).  Seen by any rational person as outrageous, under ISDS corporations can sue government in private for loss of sales under new legislature passed to protect citizens - such as setting carbon emissions or labeling GM food products.  Watch Joseph Stiglitz discuss TPP. Democracy Now
