AboutSouth London art collective DEBT presents Homeland.
South London art collective DEBT is formed of young London based artists from a variety of art disciplines. The group explore the possibilities of multi disciplinary practice in a collective form with emphasis on interactive and accessible art beyond that of the traditional gallery.Homeland is an installation focusing on interaction and the idea of use.
The group have constructed a âpop up space' from found materials in the surrounding area that will be constructed in an unused area of a car park within the Camberwell College of arts grounds. The installation will consist of three functioning workshops that will produce the work that will be selected and exhibited later in the evening in a exhibition curated by DEBT at the Wilson road gallery space in Camberwell. The inherited area will function as an interactive space beyond that of the workshops and into that of the participation of the viewer in the space itself. A functioning bar will also be included as part of the installation.
The exhibition in the evening will act as a mixer between new and old students and tutors from the college. Drinks will be availible.
HOMELAND will be an all day event on Tuesday 28th september 2010
