About

32 visual artists who work at Morley College, London have organised this temporary exhibition at Holborn Library, one of London’s most significant post-war public buildings, prior to its redevelopment.

Morley College is one of the UK’s leading centres for adult education, best-known for its courses in Music and Visual & Digital Arts. Artists, teachers and managers at Morley will be engaging in two weeks of artistic intervention within a space that is rich in history and future potential.

Questions of ‘worth’, public and social space, architecture, community, archives, knowledge and record-keeping will be addressed through installation, sculpture, digital media, sound, printmaking, paper making, drawing, painting, jewellery, ceramics, textiles and photography, with works on a variety of surfaces, and work made from library objects.
