UK based artist Hoeyyn Ngu is bringing her latest exhibition of new works from
Edinburgh to London entitled ‘How Many Lives’.
About
How Many Lives consists a series of paintings incorporating western painting techniques, Chinese calligraphy and natural leaves. Questioning what we looking for throughout our life, from the perspective of many life times and also in a broad view of the lives of many people. The artist has approached the works from the viewpoint that while we are of different cultures and origins there is some fundamental human desire to seek happiness and all our efforts in life are geared towards that goal.
The juxtaposition of Eastern and Western styles of Art in the works and the mix of cultures in UK demonstrate the different approaches to gleaning what we truly desire out of life. We all have a list of goals in life, the artist believes they all distill to the universal desire to be happy.
How Many Lives runs from Friday 29 to Saturday 30 May 2015 at
Nancy Victor, 6 Charlotte Place, London, W1T 1SG
