Curator Nick Hackworth will be hosting a tour of the History Painting Now exhibition which explores how contemporary artists are depicting recent history. Focusing on the imagery of war, Nick Hackworth discusses how the state patroned history painting genre has transformed into a progressive, yet ambiguous mixed-media art form. Nick Hackworth will be joined by exhibiting artists David Birkin, Tess Hurrell, Jeremy Hutchison and Sarah Pickering from the Slade for a question and answer session.
