This exhibition of paintings showcases the talent of Hilda Denham, whose life was tragically cut short in June 2018.
Hilda was not only a talented artist, she was also a committed conservationist. With her late husband, John Denham, she founded the Pacuare Nature Reserve in Costa Rica
Hilda put her customary energy and enthusiasm into this, involving local communities, volunteers and researchers in protecting the population of leatherback turtles nesting at Pacuare Beach.
In 2013 Hilda and John were named National Geographic’s Travellers of the Year for their dedication to the principles of ecotourism.
Hilda was a great person to be around. She was lively, positive and kind and she understood the art of listening, always giving her full attention. Her paintings reflect her energy and the vitality of her personality.
Prices start from £20 (cash only). We hope that by making her paintings affordable more people will be able to enjoy her work.
All the proceeds from the sale of Hilda’s artworks will go to the Pacuare Nature Reserve. www.pacuarereserve.org
