Six Artists navigate a voyage between escapism and the everyday through painting, drawing, sculpture and installation.

About

Six artists carve out pathways to reveal mysterious places, untold stories and unseen identities. Through painting, drawing, sculpture and installation, the artists lead us on a journey to other places, spanning the void between the public and private spheres, navigating a voyage between escapism and the everyday.

Paddy O'Donnell's installations are located in the real but overlooked world, Karin Jolly describes her practise as Domestic Alchemy and Sarah Barker Brown's paintings celebrate the search for fun, the disregard for convention and reclamation of women's pleasure. Nevine Fathy explores the ever-changing shift of personality facets we choose to present to the world, Laura Ribbon's paintings and drawings examine our relationship with the natural world and takes us from the real to the imagined, and Nathan Downie's work involves a process of remembering through the creation of surreal natural landscapes.
