About

In celebration of its Bicentenary, the Swedenborg Society are proud to present the screening of a newly commissioned film on Emanuel Swedenborg. Directed by the film makers Jacob Cartwright and Nick Jordan, written and presented by the novelist Philip Makatrewicz and produced by Stephen McNeilly, the film explores the central themes of Swedenborg's life and work, charting his journey from scientific genius to mystical savant. Filmed on location in London, Uppsala and Stockholm, with special access to Swedenborg's summer house, garden and personal diaries,à‚ the documentary features interviews with Gary Lachman, Lars Bergquist, Richard Lines and Devin Zuber, coupled with a newly commissioned soundtrack by Kurt Benbenek. This preview screening is to be held at the Swedenborg Society's listed neo-classical hall followed with a Q&A with the directors, presenter and producer.
