About
Headstrong Productions presents: Greville’s Whore
A new play by Dave Ainsworth...
Before Lady Emma Hamilton became the infamous lover of Horatio Nelson, she had already led a full and eventful life. Her progress from servant, hostess and prostitute led her to Charles Greville who was in line to inherit much land and property in Pembrokeshire. He introduced her to the artist George Romney and Emma became his model and muse. A relationship between artist and model developed and Emma became the most recognised woman in Britain. Greville’s Whore examines this relationship and the woman Emma became as a result.
Written by Dave Ainsworth, starring Georgia Warlow, directed by Kiera Sikora and designed by Stacey-Jo Atkinson. Part of a 2016/2017 touring production.
