About
LIZZIE THURMAN (b.1961)
Having studied Textiles at Central Saint Martins, Lizzie Thurman went on to travel extensively throughout Africa and the Far East, recording her experiences through drawing, painting and design. Since then she has worked and travelled in her role as a stylist/art director, producing stills for editorial and advertising. In 2003 Thurman embarked upon a series of paintings that took as their main theme the contradictions of race and culture. Her work is shown regularly in London, Nottingham and Shropshire.
NIGEL LANGFORD (b.1959)
Nigel Langford studied Fashion and Theatre Design at Central Saint Martins, following on from which he set up a design practice specializing in overall brand development, as well as interior and exterior styling of Hotels, Restaurants and Bars. In 2006 he attended the Royal Drawing School in Shoreditch, London, where he went on to reacquaint himself with drawing and painting techniques, resulting in a body of work based on introspection.
He has subsequently shown his work in a series of group shows in London and Cambridge.
