Head on a Plate Projects (Sarah Kent and Sharon Leahy-Clark) will be drawing live in the gallery 5.30-7pm on 27th October, followed by drinks.
About
All welcome to this live drawing event where artists Sarah Kent and Sharon Leahy-Clark as Head on a Plate Projects will be drawing collaboratively.The artists focus on the activity of drawing rather than the outcome – to see the drawing as process rather than product. Working this way makes it difficult to judge the work aesthetically and since they constantly interfere with one another’s contributions anyway, there’s no opportunity to get precious. The results – unpolished, raw and immediate – are different to anything either Sarah or Sharon would produce on their own. Not only is this extremely exciting, but it democratizes the process of drawing and makes it accessible to others as an enjoyable activity available to all.
