Apple Store Gallery and Artsite3/Studio6 are not for profit venues offering studio space to rent and with exhibition facilities on site.
h.Art is an opportunity to meet artists working in their spaces and talk to them about their practice which includes painting and drawing, photography, ceramics, printmaking, stained glass and more.
One of our guests, painter Richard Bavin writes:
Richard is a painter who loves the natural world, especially trees and woodland. His practice is a cycle of outdoor exploration followed by studio work as a distillation of these experiences. He loves the hours and days working quietly outdoors, and spends as much time watching weather, light and wildlife as sketching.
His visual language is a mix of traditional representations and more experimental marks and colours to try and communicate the sounds, smells and feel of these places alongside his deep emotional connection with them.
Richard’s studio is at Unit 6 very near the Apple Store Gallery, and he is a frequent visitor.
