To celebrate the final days of Valéry Grancher’s exhibition 'Regression' at Mur Nomade, Edmund Leung of The Interzone Collective will give a solo performance of handpan.
Invented only 15 years ago, the handpan is a metal drum played gently with the hands and fingers. It has a unique and captivating sound.
In response to Valéry Grancher's works on the theme of the jungle, Edmund Leung will play a new piece dedicated to the people living in the rainforest. Entitled ‘The Four Seasons of a Rainforest’, this piece of music will have elements of composition and structured improvisation.
It will also be the opportunity to discover new works by Valéry Grancher, just added to the show. Those watercolour artworks were created with water he collected in the marshes of Lamma Island, on the occasion of his site-specific performance in the jungle last month.
Audience of all ages are welcome to join Edmund Leung, Valéry Grancher and Mur Nomade's team for a friendly and relaxing afternoon of inspiring art and music!
