The Artist Workspace Gallery presents Lucian’s solo exhibition, “Halfway Between An Atom & A Star.” His collection investigates the repetitive patterns of Pop Art and the gestural excitement of figurative painting. Subverting religious iconographies, he creates chapel of Pop Art.
About
The Artist Workspace Gallery collaborates with Lucian once again on another solo exhibition in the heart of Soho (timed aptly during Frieze Week). His new collection of contemporary artworks (and central, re-envisioned Triptych piece) aim to explore bright colours, line and form - investigating the repetitive patterns of Pop Art and the gestural excitement of figurative painting. Through his collection, the artist subverts traditional religious iconographies: Creating a chapel of Pop Art in London’s busiest and most creative centre.
LUCIAN (b. 1988) is a London artist. He is a former student of Camberwell College of Arts (Bachelor’s Degree) and the marketing industry. He has exhibited in multiple solo and group exhibitions with Nomad Projects, Kings Road (Chelsea, London), The Artist Workspace Gallery (15 Bateman Street) and the Design Museum. His artwork has been acquired by the Victoria & Albert Museum.
