About

We’re incredibly excited to announce our 10th anniversary Open Studios Series 2019, a celebration of 10 years of Eat Work Art across Netil HouseHackney Downs Studios and Old Paradise Yard.

Our Eat Work Art Open Studios series continues with Hackney Downs Studios on 4th July.

This year, Eat Work Art celebrates a decade of transforming disused, underappreciated buildings into vibrant, creative communities. Hackney Downs Studios was the second site to be developed, back in 2011, and since then we have attracted thousands of people to our annual Open Studios events, with the public eager to witness the magic that surrounds our catalytic home. We’ve consistently proven to be one step ahead of the curve, hosting the UK’s first weekly vegan market, welcoming zero-waste shop Re:Store, and recently opened downmarket - our new destination featuring a cafe & bakery, a plant and bottle shop, evening kitchen plus a pop-up & event space.

Open Studios will allow you to meet and network with over 300 inspiring creative businesses, as you discover their spaces and check out their incredible work. Take a tour of our collaborative spaces Palmspace and Heartspace to meet the makers & artists behind them for a chance to purchase original works of art, craft and design.

Expect exhibitions and talks curated by our residents as well as taster classes & workshops, exclusive sample sales and art showcase at Public Gallery. Enjoy live music, food, drinks and dancing at our after party.

The vegan market in collaboration with Fat Gay Vegan will be back on the evening by popular demand, featuring some of London’s best vegan traders and plenty more on offer at Re:Store for conscious consumers with environmentally friendly and sustainably sourced goodies.

Get involved in interactive events and sensorial activities hosted by our residents. More details will be revealed soon...
