Gustavo Sousa: Preto 25/11/11 — 4/12/11 For their final exhibition of the year Idea Generation Gallery are delighted to welcome artist Gustavo Sousa to the space. From an early age, Sousa was exposed to the materials and fabrics of ceramics through his mother's employment at an art supply shop. Revisiting these media today, Sousa pays tribute to his childhood through the use of simple, often naà ¯ve brush strokes. What results are fragile, abstract forms that are somewhat reminiscent of the darker recesses of a child's imagination. This exhibition will also be open late as part of First Thursdays on the 1st December. Idea Generation Gallery is open 10am — 6pm Monday to Friday and 12-5pm at weekends.
