In her new exhibition Austrian artist Gudrun Kampl critically refers to architect Adolf Loos and the Wiener Moderne.
About
The sculpteur processes in her ornamentally scructured works Adolf Loos' pamphlet "Ornament und Verbrechen", first published in 1908. Gudrun Kampl responds to his fear of ornament with the opposite. The former student of Maria Lassnig creates a unique universe of allusions, reflecting on the dubious sexual relationships of Loos and his contemporaries.
