King's Cross Story Palace presents this exhibition sharing the memories of King’s Cross locals.
About
This exhibition tells stories of growing up in the area from World War II to the present day. Using recordings of local people, it highlights the challenges faced by parents and communities raising children in an ever evolving inner city landscape.
About the project:
King’s Cross Story Palace is a project celebrating and sharing the history of the King’s Cross area over the past 100 years. Through a series of events, workshops and exhibitions the project is documenting and exploring the social history and personal memories of people who live, work, play and travel through the neighbourhood.
The two-year project has been made possible by National Lottery players through a £663,900 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. It is being delivered by Historypin and The Building Exploratory.
