Cecilia Brunson Projects (CBP) is pleased to start the year 2020 with a group exhibition devised and curated by Jaime Gili for our London gallery.
Contagio (Contagion) includes a group of nine Latin American artists who live in London, who despite knowing each other well have not had the chance to exhbite alongside one another. The show includes newly commissioned and recent artworks by Cecilia Bonilla, Alexandre Canonico, Martin Cordiano, Patricia Domínguez, Jaime Gili, Lucía Pizzani, Manuela Ribadeneira, Lizi Sánchez and Chino Soria.
Alongside the works the exhibition also includes a table that brings together publications, music and objects selected and brought in by the artists, creating a dialogue through the artworks, between the artists and towards the public, testing the depths of each artists’ shared perspective at the intersection between Latin American and European artistic tradition, also possibly highlighting the differences between their particular identity and artistic practice.
