GROUNDWERK 4.1 // How to get an exhibition
TURFDAY 5th Birthday Special

How do people actually get exhibitions? How do you end up showing at the Tate or even in artist-led galleries or fairs? What do you have to do, or rather, who do you have to know?

Following on from their popular text How To Get An Exhibition, The White Pube will talk critically on how exclusionary the creative industries are, offer a few strategies to intervene, and open up conversation to imagine a whole new art world that does not discriminate.

This session is taking place as part of Turf’s 5th birthday extravaganza!

Groundwerk is a monthly series of free practical workshops for artists and creatives wishing to gain the skills to support their practice.

This workshop is free to attend and open to all but booking is recommended, as spaces are limited.

The White Pube is the collaborative identity of Gabrielle de la Puente and Zarina Muhammad under which they write criticism and sometimes curate. It is based at and on Instagram and Twitter as @thewhitepube. The duo publish a new text every Sunday in the form of exhibition reviews and occasionally baby essays, videos or podcasts, and work from their respective cities of London and Liverpool.
