About
‘Through my landscape paintings I want to challenge the audience perception of how they view landscapes. I see this as an adventure, one where I experiment in any way possible with whatever is available to me. My paintings are like our surroundings they are made up of many things and they evolve organically.’
Painted onto wood discs or canvas, the majority of these landscape works are in multiple sections. These pieces challenge more traditional styles of landscape painting and provide a new way of viewing such artwork.
Rw's scenes are influenced by the surroundings of his traditional Yorkshire childhood. However, their style and composition culminates in contemporary landscapes that appear neither abstract nor entirely representative and result in stunning landscape paintings.
