The Golden Sun Movement presents âON'
Private View Thursday 21st April
Exhibition Runs: 20th April 8th May
From the legendary UFO club nights of the 60s; via the 80s Balearic scene, to the house music explosion of the 90s - otherworldly sounds have always influenced visual art and design. Nowhere is this better exemplified than in the work of artists Luke Insect, Leo Zero and David Little, who are coming together for their inaugural exhibition under the collective of Golden Sun Movement.
Over the past few decades the collective have worked on some of the most cutting edge music and arts projects around, including high profile campaigns for Time Out, MTV, Paul McCartney and Nike among countless others. All three artists are purveyors of psychedelic design, having been heavily inspired by the late 60s psych movement.
'ON' will display not only a selection of the artists' originals and back catalogue works but also bespoke site-specific creations inspired by the gallery's converted warehouse space. New works will be produced both collaboratively and individually as Dave, Leo and Luke exploit the gallery's unique architectural features in a mind bending display of exuberant psychedelia. Join us straight after the private view at The Book Club - 5mins walk away on Leonard Street - as Leo Zero takes to the decks. He will also be joined by a host of other DJs including Pete Fowler (Monsterism), Richard Norris, Stuart Hogg and Sean Rowley.
