About
For the Gibraltarian their place is the ‘Rock’, which nurtures their physical selves and their culture, which is sacred to them - Philippa Beale, Curator
The exhibition has been organised by Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of HM Government of Gibraltar and is curated by Philippa Beale. The fully illustrated catalogue includes a forward by Matthew Collings. The launch of the exhibition at BPS forms part of Gibraltar’s National Week celebrations, aiming to highlight the Rock’s artistic community and identity. The artists in the show have been active in Gibraltar and the international scene over the past year and many have won top prizes in competitions with international adjudicators. The show features both young and established artists in range of media; paintings, sculptures and installations.
