‘Get Liminal’ will give Glasgow School of Art students and musicians the opportunity to exhibit their work in a thriving art scene in London.
About
Following on from the ‘Get Liminal’ exhibition series in the ‘Old Hair-dressers’, we will inhabit ‘The Old Police Station’; a ‘do it yourself’ artist studio and exhibiting space in the heart of Deptford. The exhibiting spaces themselves are situated within six of the old cell blocks that where once used to house those arrested before interrogation.Here an opportunity arises for us to occupy both of the juxtaposing territories, the freedom of our practices as artists within the confined spaces of the prison. We find our selves on the fence of this threshold. Navigating these tiled spaces with one another requires us to bring collaboration heavily into our practices. Performers and musicians will showcase at the gig, so London can get a true sense of the Glasgow art scene.
