Gertrude PRESENTS, Gertrude’s first survey exhibition, taking place in a 400 square metre space in The Truman Brewery during the key period of the London art calendar. Showcasing over 40 artists, this flagship exhibition will present the breadth and depth of Gertrude’s curated community.
About
Combining the prestige of the RA Summer Exhibition with the criticality of New Contemporaries, Gertrude PRESENTS will further cement Gertrude’s ongoing commitment to accessibility and opportunity. Gertrude is massively broadening the demographic that can live with art and artworks will both be available for purchase and rental subscription, with prices for the latter starting at £20/month.
As well as bringing art to new audiences, this first offline iteration of the Gertrude platform is also a response to some of the inherent issues facing many artists working today - how to achieve visibility for their artwork, how to connect with right art audiences and professionals, how to progress and best develop their careers in this world of multi-channel overload and a complex media landscape.
Gertrude PRESENTS is a central pillar of Gertrude’s vision to build highly successful and sustainable careers for independent artists, through discovery, connection and sales. It will highlight some of the best independent artists working today, creating opportunity and agency within what can be an inaccessible and fragmented industry.
