The main idea behind the creations of Bogumił Gala and his collection ‘GBPOWER NEW LIFE’ was to take the original objects from the 50’s, 60’s and 70's, renovate them and give them new, modern and luxurious form.

About

The aim of the exhibition ‘GBPOWER NEW LIFE’ is to promote Polish designers who were creating functional art in 50’s, 60’s and 70’s as well as the present ones. Amongst the exhibits you will find the creations of Józef Chierowski, Hanna Lis and Rajmund Teofil Hałas. On show will also be the porcelain and ceramic exhibits made by factories from ‘Ćmielów’ and ‘Chodzież’ as well as a collection of glass and ceramics designed by Zbigniew Horbowy.

All exhibits are original, have worldwide recognition and are classified as functional art.

Creations of those Polish furniture designers came back to life under the eye of a philanthropist and entrepreneur Bogumił Gala. He carefully refashioned and renovated all the exhibits and in this way, created a new collection of furniture which he called called "GBPOWER NEW LIFE". Bogumił Gala is the person behind the first ever exhibition of European furniture design in Poland, organised by ‘Rempex’ – one of the most respected auction houses in the world, which was a huge success.

The main idea behind the creations of Bogumił Gala and his collection ‘GBPOWER NEW LIFE’ was to take the original objects from the 50’s, 60’s, renovate them and give them new, modern and luxurious form.
Additionally, on the walls of the gallery a guest artist Adrian Purgal will show his digital graphics as a preview to his own exhibition, which will take place in London in January 2016. His work is focusing on human search for soul and sense of being.
